Roller bottom continuous heat treatment furnace is used for annealing, normalizing, quenching and tempering of steel plate, steel pipe, section steel and wire. Because it has the advantages of multiple functions, good heat treatment quality, high yield, and can fully realize mechanization and automatic control, it has been increasingly widely used in metallurgical plants. In the roller bottom furnace, the highest technical content and the most difficult to manufacture are various specifications of the furnace rolls, and the cost of a large number of heat-resistant steel furnace rolls required accounts for about 25% of the total investment of the whole furnace. The furnace roll is subjected to various heavy load wear and gas corrosion in a high temperature environment of 950℃, so it is required to have high temperature fatigue resistance, oxidation resistance, corrosion resistance and wear resistance, surface roughness requirements of Ra0.8, balance of ISO1940 G6.3. The furnace roll is generally composed of a roll body, a roll neck and a shaft head. The roller body is generally manufactured by centrifugal casting process. The outer surface of the furnace roller is required to be equiaxed crystal.

The spraying process is divided into two kinds: supersonic spraying and explosive spraying. Because the cold rolling furnace roller is installed in the high temperature section, the explosive spraying process is used. Therefore, the chemical composition of cermet, the physical properties of cermet and the surface of the furnace roller after spraying, the technical parameters of the spraying process and the heat treatment process after spraying the surface of the furnace roller were studied.
